Mariana is a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. She has gained extensive work experience with children, adolescent and families over the past 10 years in a variety of contexts. She has worked at the Adolescent Department of the Tavistock seeing adolescents and young adults up to the age of 25. She currently works in Islington Community CAMHS where she offers therapeutic support to children and adolescents suffering from a range of emotional difficulties, from mild to severe. She undertakes brief therapeutic consultations, short and long term psychoanalytic psychotherapy, parent support sessions and assessments. She offers supervision to colleagues and consultation to the network. She is a Visiting Lecturer at the Caspari Foundation and is about to start running an infant observation group. She is interested in the therapeutic application of arts and has attended to experiential workshops at IATE.                                                                                        

Qualifications: BA Psychology (Universidade Catolica de Minas Gerais, Brazil), PGCert in Infant Mental Health, MA Psychoanalytic Observational Studies, Mpsych psych in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (Tavistock Centre).
